In Empowerment Technologies, grades 11 and 12 students are empowered to learn the suggested advocacies or projects which would include but would not limit to 1. Anti Drug campaigns, 2. Youth election volunteer mobilization, 3. Animal welfare and rights, 4. Environmental conservation and action, 5. Contemporary ICT issues such as cyberbullying, copyright infringement, green technology, and Internet addiction. The Content Standard refers to the affiliation or involvement of students on how to work with peers and external public/partners for the development of an ICT project that advocates or mobilizes for a specific Social Change or cause. Its Performance Standard for weeks 13-16 would include the topics but would not limit to 1. Promotion of wellness in the home (Sports), 2. Street food safety and cleanliness drive (Tech-Voc), 3. Cultural heritage promotion through new designs “Pinoy pride” (Arts), 4. Savings and financial literacy drives and advocacies (Business/Academic), etc. (Contemporary ICT issues such as cyberbullying, copyright infringement, green technology, and Internet addiction). And this week’s Learning Competency isto integrate rich multimedia content in design and development to best enhance the user experience and deliver the content of an ICT Project for Social Change. Well, it is the prerogative of the teacher to choose a suitable output that would best qualify to the Performance Standard based on the Curriculum Guide. Since next week’s Learning Competency is to develop a working prototype of an ICT Project for Social Change, therefore, it is good to utilize the Google Site, Text, Image, Audio icons, Google Docs, Youtube, social networking platforms, blog sites, etc. These online platforms and creation tools are used to enhance your ICT skills and experience to work with peers and external public/partners for the development of an ICT project that advocates or mobilizes for a specific Social Change or cause. This time, you will log in to the suggested platforms and integrate rich multimedia content. Now, choose one specific contemporary ICT content (for example green technology or any of your desired ICT contents) collaborating with partners online for you to design an ICT Project utilizing the Google Site and Google Docs.
This time, try to log in to your accounts on Google mail, Facebook, Youtube, and blog sites. Utilize the creation tools of the platforms and adopt or adapt an ICT Project for Social Change. Utilize the Google Site platform. Link the Google Docs for online collaboration with group members in developing the ICT content. Just share the Google Doc with the group members via Gmail accounts. And set these accounts as editors of the document. And link also other related ICT content from Youtube, social networking, and blog sites. No need for you to create a prototype ICT project. Just copy and paste your adopted or adapted ICT content. Please include a Disclaimer and or citation of the adopted or adapted online content for the sake of performing the expected output.
